Sooo good to read an update from you. At the same time, can hard relate to so much of this.

Soothing neuroinflammation has been such a big part of my journey too - I’ve written an entire pathway with that featuring as an intention for my book. (Looking for beta readers for that one once it’s been edited so if you’d love to look over that let me know).

It’s all pretty much a full time job. One that unnoticed, unwitnessed and unrewarded.

Glad you’re here. Giving voice to it. Bringing it all up into the light.

I'd be interested too if you need more readers, Amber!

Oh fabulous! Please DM me your email and we’ll have a chat about the different pathways - see which speak to you.

Pathway one - awakening through struggle - is nearly ready for beta readers.

The others, hopefully won’t be too far behind.

Captured it perfectly, and especially this nugget:

"I emerge for sporadic outings where people see me showered, smiling, and high on life. They tell me I look GOOD, and I try not to respond, “thank you for noticing, I watch a lot of makeup tutorials and have learned the correct way to apply my blush.” "

When you're sick, leaving the house is an EVENT, not just the third thing you did that way...so of course we gussy up more. I mean, sometimes it's all I can do to be there and I just go braless, but more often than not, sickies look paradoxically THRIVING when we actually get out.

Aw thanks Kira, it means a lot coming from you. Too funny - I went braless all three times I made it out this month. Because I was doing it for me. If I’m pushing through for someone else, I’m usually not going anymore!

This gives such an honest window into what daily life actually looks like when illness reshapes everything, especially the invisible negotiations happening behind the scenes. The balance between practical detail and reflection makes it easy to feel alongside you rather than just observe from a distance. I also love how you show adaptation as an ongoing process instead of a neat recovery arc. Many readers living with fluctuating health will recognize themselves in this pacing of life around capacity.

As much as I wish for that arc, life has other plans! But as I embrace the reshaping, so much emerges. Thank you for being here.

"They don’t see the rest of the days, they don’t understand the rest of the days, and I don’t blame them for this." Oof, yes, resonating. And what a humbling glimpse into just what you deal with - thank you for sharing it. I'm glad to hear you're no longer bedbound, and I am witnessing what you do to get through each day and make the most of it with awe.

Thank you, Morgana 🥺
